New to Radio Controlled Airplanes? Learning to fly is easy using these three bits of advice:

1.) Real Flight 7.5 - Flight Simulator for PCs   2.) Join a local radio control flying club   3.) Purchase a good trainer type aircraft:

You may not always have time to get to the local
field to fly your airplane. Time/Schedule or even
the weather can impede your best efforts to get
there regularly to learn the skills needed for
flying proficiency.

Don't Fret! Don't Fear! This flight sim is worth
every penny spent on it. I wouldn't dream of
flying and not having the sim to practice with.
Any club that is worth joining will have much to offer new members. From flight lessons to a developed fascility, your local clubs are great resources for learning.

They will assist you by making sure your airplane is ready to fly including but not limited to checking the various control surfaces to ensure they are working properly and moving in the correct direction when the control sticks are moved.
Typically your trainer aircraft should have
 a few basic features:

1.) Tricycle landing gear -
one wheel on the nose
and two under the wing.

2.) Dihedral -
this is the 'v' shape
 of the wing.

3.) High wing -
meaning the airplanes body is
hanging under the wing instead
 of on top of it.

    Going beyond the trainers:

Classic Cruiser with optional floats.
Great flying airplane for the experienced
pilots or with help from your club it can
also make a great trainer.
When you are ready for some areobatic fun there is nothing quite like an Edge 540. Plenty of power, plenty of throw on the control surfaces with a great balance for sport areobatics.   In need of a stable platform for areal video? Look
no further than the Q500. When it comes to airborn
anything - bigger is better. The Q500 won't let you
down with it's stabilty and quality camera system.
